You can see updates on Snow-forecast.com.

About wireless it is now available in 100% of hotel (and outside for hacker’s pleasure, I fear).Free wireless internet connection

Connection is and will remain free if experimentation will be positive and if nobody will abuse of download and file sharing tools.

Hotel Corsaro’s Hot Spot has born, on Etna finally free Wi-Fi for everybody.

Hotel has yet some rooms available for Silver Weekend (Friday 23th & Saturday 24th).

We will apply 2008 tariffs instead of 2009 ones.

For example a family of two adults and two children under 12 will pay € 480,00 total in Full Board instead of € 580,00.

Two persons in Half Board pay € 260,00 total instead of € 280,00.

About snow we expect about 10 cm in this week.

Check weather forecasts links to get updates and don’t forget chains!

About life in hotel this evening we discovered a young talent between our guests.

His name is Bartolo, he’s just 11 years old.

You can see his work here. It has been made in few minutes at dinner.

It hasn’t been copied by a photo, it has been made remembering hotel as seen by road which take to us.

Thomas reichart: Etna shot on its last flightThomas Reichart’s photo album on Flickr is going to be updated since February.

We read a note: “The pictures in this set were taken by Thomas on his last journey to mount Etna.

We - his parents and his brother Markus - will take care of his flickr homepage and add his last photos here. Peter, Maria and Markus Reichart

I ‘rob’ from his website this photo: it has been called “Etna shot on its last flight”.

Ciao Thomas

Polstrada e Croce Rossa sull\'EtnaYesterday we offered hotel’s parking to an exercise of Red Cross and Traffic Police.

They simulated an accident scene with destroyed vehicles and wounded people (with realistic injuries and false blood).

Some photos are too impressive to be shown here so I just publish a panoramic.

UPDATE: watch video at YouTube

Christmas and New Year\'s Day on EtnaDue to many requests in past years this year we will anticipate winter’s hotel opening to December, 24th evening (hotel will not close in November and December but restaurant will not work in these two months).

It will be possible to sleep on Etna on Christmas at normal hotel rate.

Waiting for holydays we started some works in hotel to offer you even better rooms.

Last, we will offer all this winter free wireless connection and free access to SKY satellite channels.

Like a Robert Augustinus painting - Etna on 2009, January, 13thTalking about Etna volcano you will ofter hear “lunar landscape”.

Well, today we had “martian landscape”.

Thanks to clouds, charged of desert sand from saharian zone, we had one of most ‘red’ days I remember.

I took several shoots with my mobile.

Some of these photos, thanks to poor definition and some focus problems, seem paintings of some flemish painter (maybe Robert Augustinus? I will talk about him in future, you don’t find him on internet, yet).

.!.

Etna webcamIt started in May 2008.

It is yet active after more than ten months.

Will it be Etna attraction for 2009, too?

Mr. Raimon Schulz just sent us some webcam images.

I publish one which demonstrates activity is increasing.

After many months of quiet effusive activity Etna presents a new strombolian activity.

UPDATE: Webcam link is http://www.videobank.it/telecameraetna.asp

SECOND UPDATE: More informations at Charles Riviere website

Etna trekking webcam 6Etna Trekking extended his webcams net.

They have six cameras, now.

Thanks to Niki Adlam-Stiles for this report.

“We can now see many different views of Etna from a distance, but it is not quite the same as being there!
I expect we will be back to visit soon!”

Hope to see you, too!

This morning mr. Humphrey Reader sent me a nice shoot by Etna Trekking Webcam.
