05/01 Snow alert and first paroxysm!
After a ‘fire night’ (with an usual Etna paroxysm as we had many on 2011) forecats alert us for snow. If in this moment road is black due to sand tomorrow morning it will be white. Good new is that thanks to sand we’ll have much less ice. UPDATE: spectacular Etna Walk video

31/12 Good news!
Strong snowing this morning, wind finally decreasing. We think there could be enough snow to ski, since tomorrow. No photos, we didn’t find somebody crazy enough to go out to take one. UPDATE: wind stopped, perfect weather now!
